I think we need a new table. Not that I don't love this one. I picked it up at Kmart for $99 10 years ago. It has seen some times. Once I tried moving it on carpet and snapped a wood support and Howard was nice enough to make a new one. Emma personally decorated the underside of it with permanent markers when she was a toddler.

Even though I love the table, it has come to my attention that it seats 6. I can do the math and 5 kids plus 2 parents does not equal 6. Luckily I have some time before I need to purchase said table. Apparently they are hard to find, especially outside of Utah, and in a style that doesn't scream old lady table.

I will accept submissions if anyone has any. There are stipulations. As I have stated, I am quite cheap. Tables that need painting or finishing are fine. I can do that. Although what I really mean is that Howard can do it. Also the table would need to match my chairs, unless I can't find one or two more at American Furniture Warehouse and then I'd need two matching chairs that coordinate with the current chairs. Whew.

I know there are oodles of things that I would like to have, but I think a table is one of those should really have, not just nice to have items. Like toilet paper.

I will always remember the table at your parents house. It seemed HUGE to me.

I have no table buying experience. The two of us used a card table until my mom bought us a set at a garage sale. It's the regular seats 6 light wood with white trim.

I like long tables, but they can be outgrown.
