milestones

On the 15th, Laura asked to have her training wheels removed.  Once they were removed, she took off.  She is the youngest so far to learn to ride.  I think it has to do with living in a cul-de-sac and living without snow.  Either way, we were all proud of her.

On the 16th, our house was infiltrated by a teenager!  Annie's chair was decorated with an assortment of boys and men this year, ranging from Ferb to Buster Posey.  So glad she can appreciate a talented MLB catcher.  :)

She started off her day with Mickey Mouse waffles and bacon, as usual.  Then she opened her only gift from the parents.  She was not disappointed.
In the evening, the family came over for cupcakes and ice cream.

Sweet treats, good company and sweet gifts.
On the 28th, the Giants played the 4th game of the World Series.  Sarah went all out and put on her complete Giants T-ball uniform, complete with cleats.  She called Buster Posey's solo shot.  Annie declared that if the Giants won, she would run around with underwear on her head! After the final out, we broke out the Martinelli's and had our own dugout-worthy celebration.  We shot off confetti and the kids ran up and down the street carrying our Giants flag.  It was amazing!

And for the final milestone, that man in the Batman shirt in the birthday picture, he has lost over 35 lbs since July!

Laura is amazing on her first attempt without training wheels. She can really move!
Wow, your first teenager. Lucky you! It only gets crazier with peaks and valleys. Anne is obviously in love with her gift. What can be said about the Giants? They're AWESOME! It was a great series sweep and you diehard fans celebrated appropriately.

Love seeing little ones do things for the first time! Great riding!
I also loved the decorating of the chair for the birthday person. My kids would enjoy something like that. I don't watch baseball much anymore, but I think the Giants sweeping the WS was pretty awesome!
