Changes are coming at the Hughes home.  What kind of changes?  Is that vinyl flooring getting installed?  Is another baby on the way?  Are the kids going to public school?  The answer to all of those questions is a resounding NO!  The changes that are coming are much subtler.  First, we finally chopped down the mega overgrown lilac monstrosity in the backyard.  We have a yard again.  Then, we planted trees.  3 of them , 2 pear and one peach.  Second, I painted the fireplace white.  Why?  Because it was March, and I felt like it.  Third, we are going this weekend to check out some shower doors for the kids bathroom.  I am sick of having a flooded bathroom or soggy towels on the floor. I do hate shower doors, but at least shower doors won't rot out the floor.  And finally, I have been sleeping, hooray!  As such, I have been able to get up at a reasonable time.  We have been able to start school in the mornings and be done by lunchtime, leaving plenty of time for free play and imaginative kid stuff.  Currently a sandbox castle is in the works.  Happy day.

March does sound like a good reason. Wait, I missed it! I'll have to find my own reason.

Of course you painted your fireplace because, unlike most scarredy cats out there, you knew it would look a zillion times better. It takes vision to be a genius like youreself.

The fireplace looks great. I also agree with the shower doors, it will solve wet floors.

The fireplace looks great! I've got a friend who wants to do that but her hubby isn't agreeing to it. I guess I won't show her yours... it'd make her jealous!
Glad to hear you're sleeping... it's amazing what a difference that makes!
