This week in review

Monday was a holiday.  Annie's friend from her charter school days came over.  They were all over the place, from hanging out on the trampoline, in their room, on the Wii and finally in the front yard making chalk art.  Emma kept her word and didn't bug them.  She played on the American Girl website and  helped me paint the bathroom.  Sarah and Laura began their week of being loud and pesky.  They woke Adam each time I put him down for a nap.  I finally confined them to the bath while Emma and I painted.

This week:
Annie continued to work on Life of Fred.
Emma got an A on her math test.
Annie did a book report on Call it Courage.
Emma got her whole book report typed, then pressed the wrong key and it all went bye-bye.  Much sadness.
We worked on Article of Faith 6.
Annie learned about Constantinople.  She says that is a real mouthful!
Emma finished up with Marco Polo and is moving on to the Rus.  We made a home version of kokoshniks that we wore around the house.
Emma did an experiment with paper airplanes.
Sarah worked on more letters.  She can copy her first and middle names now.
Laura has expanded her obsessions to include Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Laura has also been learning about volume control, which translates into Time out for yelling.
Annie did a report on travel to various places on the African continent.
Annie got her wire and bands changed on her braces.
Laura had foreign bodies removed from her ears and new ear mold impressions made
Adam learned to crawl up the stairs

I freehand painted a coconut tree on the wall in the bathroom, and another wall to say "Drop Your Drawers" above the laundry basket.  I switched Emma to a hanging workbox system so she just has to pull her school work from each file folder.  I exercised every day but Sunday and actually cleaned up after dinner every night.  As for my biggest accomplishment, I have been able to go to sleep before 1 am the last 2 nights!

Holy Cow! Just reading your blog makes me tired. You and the kids accomplish so much. Oh, to have that kind of energy again!
