My mom came and stayed with us for 2 weeks to help out. It was great having her here. The kids were so excited. They got to know their grandma, who they hadn't seen in two years. Annie and Emma made stitchery projects with her. They made cookies and pretzels. Laura had an on again off again relationship with her. Sarah loved to sit with grandma and hang out. Adam thought grandma was incredibly cozy and enjoyed snoozing while she held him.
She also helped out around the house, cleaning, cooking and making me rest. It was comforting knowing she was here with the kids while I was at the hospital. I knew they were in good hands. Plus, it was a total bonus having another adult around to talk to, helps to keep one's sanity. The girls were very teary on the way home from the airport.
Thank you so much Mom! I am glad you are home safe and look forward to seeing you next month.
