Garden of the gods

Last week we decided that it was finally time to visit Garden of the Gods. We have lived here for 6 years and its about time. Plus its free and that is the right price for us!

Laura got a backpack ride with Howard.

I love giving the camera to Emma. She takes very interesting pictures. I especially like when they are not the back of my head.
This was our sky while we hiked. Did I mention that it rained all day back home??

While Emma was taking this shot I heard a suspicious rattling in the bushes behind us and strongly encouraged Emma to move down the trail as fast as possible.

No, no we didn't climb on the rocks

Afterwards we went to Manitou Springs, which we have decided is not kid friendly as there are practically no public restrooms anywhere. And the grub is too fancy for kids, unless you feel like taking them into a bar to eat, which we didn't. There was a giant bike scultpture thing though that of course Emma felt the need to climb on.

The kids got along pretty well, the scenery

was beautiful and it was truly a blessed day.
