To the Bookstore

I realized yesterday that we haven't covered Thanksgiving at all. So today we spent some time at the bookstore. First though we took Laura in for her 6 month check up. She had an EKG with some ehh results. Her doctor is going to send them to Children's and let me know if they want to follow up or not. After the EKG she got 3 shots and did very well. I think Emma and Sarah were more worked up about the shots than Laura. They were sad for her.

As I said, we went to the bookstore. Emma sweet talked me into buying her the new Barbie book. Its actually worse than most of the others but I digress... We picked out several Thanksgiving/Pilgrim books. We also found one of Annie's favorites from when she was really little, Picking Apples and Pumpkins. Its familiar because back when we lived in CA we checked it out every fall. And now we own it. Annie bought Mary Poppins with the rest of her birthday money. Sarah wanted every book there too. Sadly we don't have room for them all. Which is hard because I love books.

We came home, watched some Goosebumps, got scared, ate lunch and learned about the First Thanksgiving. Emma and Sarah colored turkey pictures in the car while we waited for Annie at clarinet lessons. Sarah pretended to drive the van and Emma picked the music.

I enjoyed spending time with my kids. My house is messy. I made dinner. It was a great day.

It's so tempting to go into a bookstore....so many books....not enough money/bookcases!
