Changes

As of yesterday, no more reviewing for us. Now that my final review is written, I am feeling a sense of relief.  While I enjoyed reviewing curriculum, incorporating the different methods and books and trials sometimes tripped up our regular studies.
Emma personally did over 5 different math programs.  I know she thinks she isn't good at math, and having to try all these kind of reinforced that idea.  I am looking forward to just 1 for her in the next school year.
I also stressed out over writing the reviews, even though it isn't hard at all.  I worried that I wasn't being thorough enough, that I hadn't adequately reviewed the product, and even that I was losing my own voice in writing  them.  Blogging became a chore.
Additionally, I am kinda stressed about the upcoming school year.  It will be Annie's last year in middle school.  We will actually need transcripts and all that,  starting this year.  This is part of the reason we are using a charter school.  Now we are going to have to learn their system for tracking grades, state testing, etc.  I haven't really graded the kids on anything, just let them learn.
I know I can be a bit of a control/stress freak, so I figured if I can let go of one thing that stresses me, then I can maybe sleep at night instead of stressing.

Sounds like a good choice to leave the reviews behind. I hope that means blogging will be more enjoyable again- I always love reading your posts! :)
