I was a nice mom and woke the kids up at 7:30 instead of 7. Then I made eggs and toast. They got ready while I showered. I put on a flick for the 2 year old and we started at 8 am.
We started with the pledge. I had oldest dd do math facts while I went over 1st grade math. Then had #2 work on her abcs while I taught the math lesson for #1. Then I had to pick up the babysitter and didn't get her to my house until 9:50, not good considering the appt. was 15 mins away and at 10.
I got home a little before 12, let the babysitter drive around the neighborhood (she is going off to college this week and barely got her permit) After narrowly missing a fence I got back in the drivers seat and took her home.
After lunch and convincing the 2 year old to take a nap, we started back up around 1:30. Got through history, and science by 3 for dd#2, dd# 1 also had spelling and was done by 3:30. Plus they have no homework to worry about, and dinner is made.
I have a feeling it won't always be this easy. Okay, really I am remembering the craziness from back when I homeschooled #1 for Kindergarten and I am not looking forward to when boredom sets in.
